Nakedness

Body, love, and self-worth—these are some of the thoughts that come to mind as I write this post. 💫

Life is fragile. We go through so many ups and downs, and we take a beating—both in body and soul.

But what happens when we start saying YES to ourselves? What happens then? ❤️

I have scolded, criticized, and mistreated my body and mind, said horrible things to myself, and the water has been dark. But now I see that the more love I give myself, the clearer that water becomes. 🩵

I have to step into the darkness, face all my scars at once, to allow myself to take that step toward rest, recharging, cleansing, and letting go. 🙈

It takes courage to look yourself in the eye (the mirror).

I think we all avoid it, especially on the days when we just want to disappear into the darkness.

Several mentors in my life say:
"You only live once. Play a little and live the way you want!"
Yeah, easy for you to say, haha.

This summer, I took nude photos of myself. Some people commented, “You have something interesting going on, but I have no idea what you’re going to do with it.” Others said, “You’re so bold for daring to be naked outside in broad daylight—I could never do that!”

Honestly, I didn’t even know myself. I just felt like I needed a challenge. So I decided to combine plants and nudity—something that felt like a natural way to introduce my plan, a dream I’ve had for five years but never felt ready for. I had to take the backdoor, test things out, and I’m still doing that. 😉

My passion for the physical body comes from past shame, hatred, and frustration—but also from the collective focus we have on the body, especially menstruation. We curse it every month, but not only that—we don’t even acknowledge the other phases of our cycle. All we hear is that we must be careful not to get pregnant, that we must not “let ourselves go” or do something stupid or slutty.

That last part is for another post...

But this distancing from our own bodies, from the most natural thing of all—OUR BODY AND NATURE ARE ONE AND THE SAME!

Did you know that?

WE ARE A PART OF THIS NATURE!

Say it out loud and let it sink in:

I AM A PART OF NATURE.

I AM A FANTASTIC WOMAN.

I RECLAIM THE MAGIC OF BEING A WOMAN WHO BLEEDS.

I LISTEN TO MY BODY—MY TEMPLE.

I LOVE ALL OF ME AND AM PROUD OF THE WOMAN I AM!

So why do we tear ourselves down, avoid mirrors, and despair over our bodies? It’s heartbreaking.

That’s why I, like so many others, feel it’s important to speak openly about blood, menstruation, mood swings, bodies, vaginas, vulvas, pussies—or goddesses. To reclaim our power as the beautiful goddesses we ALL are! ♥️
