Embracing My Journey My Way

Understanding Human Design and the Power of Living Life

Since I was little, I was told that I was a coward, that I made safe choices and didn’t take risks. That’s not true, I’ve never taken the easy way out, because I’ve always chosen the path that felt most right for me instead of taking the safe one.

My father always told me to make the choices he had experienced because then I would succeed too. But I always said, “I want to do what I want.” Maybe that wasn’t the smartest thing every time, but I learned something from it instead of taking the “easy way out.” I took the difficult path because there was something about experiencing it first and then learning something from it.

Sometimes the situations were safer, other times more challenging.

Have you heard of Human Design?

Human Design – Briefly Explained: Human Design is a system that combines astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, the chakra system, and quantum physics to provide insight into how you function best energetically. It gives you a unique "bodygraph" based on your birth time, showing your energy, decision-making, and how you interact with the world.

The main parts of Human Design are:

Energy Type (Generator, Manifestor, Projector, Reflector) – How you best use your energy.

Strategy – How you should navigate your life for the least resistance.

Authority – How you best make decisions.

Profiles – How you express yourself and your life path.

I am a Manifestor Generator:

It's important to understand the following key aspects:

  1. Energy Flow: You have a powerful energy that can both initiate and sustain, but it’s essential to honor your natural rhythms and avoid overexertion.

  2. Response to Life: Your energy thrives when you respond to what life presents, rather than forcing things. Trust your gut feeling and inner authority to guide you.

  3. Balance of Action and Rest: While you're designed to take action, ensure you also rest when needed to avoid burnout.

  4. Follow Your Passions: You’re most fulfilled when engaging in what excites you, but make sure you're responding to opportunities, not chasing them.

  5. Frustration: If you don’t honor your energy or ignore your inner authority, frustration may arise. Listen to it as a signal to realign with your true path.

In essence, trust your inner guidance and take action when you're truly ready, balancing rest and effort to stay aligned with your purpose.

I am a 6/3 profile

Martyr (Line 3) in Profile: The Martyr is Line 3 in a Human Design profile, and it’s about experimenting and learning through trial and error. If you have Line 3 in your profile (e.g., 3/5 or 6/3), it means you learn most through experience and not by blindly following others’ advice. You need to try things yourself, fail, and adjust along the way.

Typical traits of a Martyr (Line 3):

  • Naturally experimental – learns by doing.

  • Often experiences ups and downs in life, but becomes wiser from them.

  • Has a strong ability to adapt and find practical solutions.

  • May experience frustration because things rarely go "as planned."

  • Inspires others because they show what works (and doesn’t work).

What’s described above fits very well with how my life has been so far. I’ve really experienced ups and downs, but I’m also the person people come to with problems because I’ve been through a lot myself. It makes it so interesting to see how important it was for me to do things my way and how much it reflects who I am today.

Role Model is Line 6 in a Human Design profile, and it represents a life path that evolves in three phases. People with Line 6 in their profile have a natural inclination to be visionary leaders and inspire others through their life journey and experiences.

The three phases of the Role Model:

  1. Phase 1 – Youth (0-30 years): In this phase, the individual is often more experimental and may learn a lot from their own mistakes, in search of identity and understanding. This can be a time of testing and trying things without necessarily having a full understanding of what they’re doing.

  2. Phase 2 – Midlife (30-50 years): In this phase, they start stepping back a bit from making the mistakes they did earlier, and they learn to observe and find wisdom in their experiences. This is a more introspective period with increased understanding and self-awareness.

  3. Phase 3 – Mature Phase (50+ years): At this stage, they are a fully developed role model. They have gathered wisdom, and their life experiences make them natural teachers, guides, or mentors for others. Their experiences allow them to show the way with clarity and understanding of how things work on a deep level.

Typical traits of a Role Model (Line 6):

  • Has a life journey involving significant personal growth and development.

  • Natural leaders, but tend to develop their wisdom gradually.

  • Goes through life’s trials in a way that gives them visions that can inspire others.

  • Often has an aura of calm and wisdom when they reach maturity and can share their experiences in a teaching way.

When I first read about the different phases in Line 6, I understood my journey more and what is important for me at this stage. It also shows my need to be by myself and truly find my path in life. I feel like I’m on a healing journey, going back in time to find the roots that call to me. Understanding why it was so important to do things my way has meant that I’ve had to face a lot of difficult things along the way.

What do you know about yourself and your journey? Have you figured out your Human Design chart?
